Trouble in Blazer Land... Really?

David: All is not well in Blazer land

Forrest: I'm not buying it.. Canzano and quick are fear mongering.. I'm a little sick to my stomach with all of the negativity in this town right now.

David: Yeah, but the whole Roy thing is a little weird.

Forrest: How many teams in the nba would you trade ours for? Two? Any at all? People need to relax...

David: Just a lot of bad PR right now
David: that's what I'm sayin

Forrest: Its a negotiation, that means there will be differences inherently.
Forrest: That is a lot of money. You at least ask the question. Blown way out of proportion.

David: Roy is the man. I would give him 5 years of the MAX, no question. He had some injury issues his rook year, but so have a lot of other stars in their rookie years. I think he's a superstar, and the Blazers hit the jackpot with him. Lock him up.

Forrest: http:// www.blazersedge.com/2009/7/11/945979/john-canzano-sells-his-soul#18132194

David: Canzano sucks.. I'm not defending him. It's just that I would be happier if there wasn't any issues between Roy and the Blazers.

Forrest: I would too and we will.. We will give him what he wants esp after this firestorm..
Forrest: No I'm just sharing, I wrote it..

David: Yeah, I could give a shit about Canzano. I don't know anything about Quick
David: Oh
David: cool!

Forrest: He's usually good but he wrote a horrible piece on greg last summer which had a direct effect upon the big fella and now this crap on kp. it is not his place to insert himself into the story.

David: so you're Blazersedge?
David: I see that on the hoopshype twitters a lot - that's you?

Forrest: Blazersunited. No that was my contribution to the site. But I'm flattered.. :)

David: cool
David: Damn Blair looking good in summer action.

Forrest: There are some great contributors.. The arseholes seem to get drowned out here. Mostly.
Forrest: Yeah........

David: Lot's of losers on the Blazers forums... I guess it's good to have fans that care a lot, but the bored and impatient fans can get annoying. I stick to the NBA general forums and stuff.
David: But the negative PR has filtered to those boards and people are hearing stuff about Roy that's misinterpreted.. sort of like the "telephone game" - it's just bad PR.

Forrest: Sucks. Trying to remember this squad is my favorite in the assoc it's all gooood.

David: true
David: I'm gonna tune out the Blazers forums for the week. Just today Detroit cleared 1.8 million in cap space? Boozer deal? Prince to Portland anyone?
David: Austin Daye looks like the real deal, they could be rethinking this "we gotta keep Tay" thing.

Forrest: Prince and/or hinrich. I do think we whiffed a couple of times. Personally I would have gone straight to ariza before hedo. And I would have gone straight for bass ahead of millsap. We could have had both of those guys. But we could have had ariza giving the lakers the finger for the next decade. And just what we needed.

David: Ariza might have cost too much, but he does fit the need of the perimeter defender who can hit the long ball.
David: Bass for 4 yrs 18 million is a good deal for Orlando :/

Forrest: Young and tough as nails.
Forrest: Bass made out well. Now he has to prove it.

David: I think he plans to. it's structured so he can opt out after two years and make more dough if he's proved it

Forrest: I hope we don't get miller now. He feels stale.
Forrest: And I don't like how he dropped a load in philly at the end of the season.
Threw the coach under the bus..

David: sounds like he might be NYK bound. Lot's of press about Bayless. I think the Blazers are still hot for Jrex

Forrest: I hope I'm wrong..

David: Should be real interesting to see if he can resist the urge to put up 30 a game in summer league and focus on setting up the scrubs instead.

Forrest: I wish he seemed to enjoy the game more.. Seems like it’s his arena to take out his rage.

Hedo gets Pritch Slapped

from Ben @Blazersedge:

Pritchard on losing Hedo -

I was disappointed. I can't hide my emotions that way. Very disappointed. We went through a process with him. We got to a point where we both felt comfortable. But here's what I do know, if it wasn't right for him it wasn't right for us. We are after players who are about winning, who are about being successful and who are about being unselfish. If it didn't fit, it didn't fit and I'd rather know now than later.

----------------------------------------

Did KP really just call out Hedo that blatantly? Did he really just tell the world that Hedo isn't about being successful, isn't about winning and is selfish? I don't know, but it sure does sound like it. Especially if you watch the video, he looks pissed about it still.

I like a guy who wears his heart on sleeve. Especially when he is a ruthless poker player most of the time. Good stuff.
